This policy and procedure addresses how Project Management Institute (PMI®) Northeast Indiana Chapter (NEIC) will handle inviting guests to its evening meetings.

PURPOSE:

PMI-NEIC members, from time to time, will be either asked by a guest if they can attend, or perhaps the member asks an interested party if they would like to attend a chapter meeting, free of charge.   This policy provides a mechanism for the member to offer guest status to individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.            Host: The chapter member who acts as host must register their guest via the online reservation system.  Information required includes the guest’s name, email address and if they hold a PMI certification.  The host must make every effort to attend the meeting to which they have invited a guest.

2.            Board of Directors: It is the responsibility of the board of directors and volunteers assisting the board to insure the guest policies are not abused.

3.            Guest: The guest must make every effort to attend the meeting to which they are invited.

GUEST STATUS:

1.       Invalid Status: if the guest has attended previously during the calendar year, they are given an invalid status.  An invalid status will not preclude the guest from attending, but it will affect the prices charged.

2.       Valid Status: If the guest is judged to have “valid” status, prices are calculated accordingly.
